Kata Matemu Kithyo's death shocked locals after his two wives, Prisca Mukethe Kithyo and Agnes Murorunkwere Kata, wrote two separate obituaries to announce his death.
The two obituaries also contained two different photographs of the deceased. The photographs look to be from when he was considerably younger.
The famous engineer, Kata Matemu Kithyo, died of sickness on April 18, 2024, in Mewapa, Mombasa.
According to two eulogies published in the Daily Nation, he leaves a legacy of family and love, and he is survived by children and grandkids from both marriages.
In his obituary, Kata is remembered as a loving husband and father by Prisca Mukethe Kithyo.
His children, Mark Muinde Kithyo, Melany Mwelu Kithyo, and Ruth Kivinya Kithyo (all stationed in Canada), as well as grandkids Jason Nzau Kata, Sydney Mulekyo Kata (of the Canadian Airforce), Michael Kusema (of the Canadian Army), Jade Mwende Muinde, and Rhys Katanu Philip, are mourning his passing.
Prisca's family has announced that further details about funeral plans would be disclosed soon.
