The Kenya Red Cross Society evacuated eight people to safety mid-morning Sunday as floods at Fast Farm in Bula Vumbi, Garissa Township in Garissa County.
According to Kenya Redcross, the eight were marooned, alongside several heads of livestock.
Further, the Society said its team was headed to another farm where six more people were reported to be marooned by floodwaters.
The flooding from ongoing rains has so far led to the death of over 83 people countrywide.
Government spokesperson Isaac Mwaura said on Saturday that the floods had displaced 24,196 households, comprising 131,450 people.
