Mwangi Wa Iria, the former governor of Murang'a, appeared at the EACC police station to provide a statement and have his fingerprints taken for the ongoing and serious investigation into graft allegations.
His co-accused parties are also in attendance.
Later, charges and an arraignment, eagerly anticipated by many, are expected for the former governor.
On Monday, Justice Nixon Sifuna instructed the former county chief, Jane Waigwe Kani, and Solomon Kimani to work with the EACC and DPP and show up for fingerprinting and statement recording.
"In the intervening period between now and tomorrow they shall not be arrested. They shall have their advocates escort them to the EACC," said the Judge.
Orders from the Murang'a High Court temporarily halted their prosecution.
However, Muranga Presiding Judge James Wakiaga overturned those rulings and sent the case to the Nairobi High Court Anti-Corruption Division for additional guidance.
