Jecinter Adoyo Hezron, a senior analyst and personal assistant to the Chairperson of the Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA) has been charged with faking academic documents.
According to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), Adoyo is suspected of using fake academic papers to gain work at CRA.
The ODPP said, “Jecinter Adoyo Hezron was found to have used forged Bachelor of Arts Sociology and Masters of Arts in Development Studies degree certificates from the University of Nairobi to secure employment as a senior analyst at the Commission on Revenue Allocation in August 2017.”
It further ruled that Adoyo be charged with fraudulent property acquisition in violation of Section 45(1)(A) of the Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Act of 2023, as read with Section 48.

Other allegations include forgery under Section 345 and uttering a fake document under Section 353 of the Penal Code.
The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has lately taken action against those who possess bogus academic qualifications.
In March, the commission wrote to the Head of Public Service and all accounting officials in the public service, asking them not to provide benefits to resigning government servants who had faked academic papers and professional certifications.
