Police in Siaya County have launched investigations into the death of a 50-year-old man who was found dead in his house in Ugunja.
Confirming the incident, Siaya County Police Commander Cleti Kimaiyo, Samuel Karume's body was found on Tuesday night in his house located in West Uholo location.
Preliminary investigations show that he died under unclear circumstances.
Kimaiyo said the incident was reported to the Ugunja police station by the man's wife, Josephine Achieng.
"The matter was reported by his wife who said that her husband came home from Kisumu complaining that he was unwell.”

She told the police that the deceased had recently been treated for malaria and had just retired to bed only to develop difficulty breathing.
He stated that in the event, the wife called neighbors, but upon returning, she found her husband dead.
The body was later removed to Rang’ala Mission Hospital Mortuary, awaiting postmortem.
