Four people have been pulled from the wreckage of a building that collapsed in Nairobi County's Kiamaiko neighborhood of Mathare North.
A group of Kenya Red Cross workers were sent to the scene to rescue the four after it was reported that multiple people were trapped in the incident, which happened on Tuesday afternoon.
Three of the four individuals were transported to a nearby medical facility, and the fourth, who had minor wounds, received treatment on the spot.

In the incident at Area 1, witnesses report that the building, which had been designated for demolition, suddenly collapsed while more than ten people were searching it for scrap metal.
The building's structure weakened and collapsed, according to locals, stopping the demolition process.
