Her sister-in-law, who was the first to notice her swinging from a tree in their home's courtyard, stated her attempts to save her were worthless because she had already died.
Peter Nthiga, the area police chief, said officers were investigating the event to determine what prompted the woman to commit herself.
The body was brought to the Sigowet Sub County Hospital Mortuary.
"We have launched investigations into the incident. For now, we haven't determined the motivation.
We're talking to family members. We will get further information on this in due course," said Nthiga.
The officer recommended young families in the region to seek therapy if and when they need it. There has been an increase in domestic violence case reports at the station.
“Marital problems are real and you cannot run away from them if you are married. What matters is how you resolve them. Seek help when you need it to avoid pushing each other to an early grave,” added Nthiga.
