On Wednesday night, Eunice Omollo, a former NTV reporter, disclosed that she had been grappling with bipolar disorder for an extended period and appealed to Kenyans for assistance. In an emotional internet video, Omollo tearfully shared that she had relocated her son's care as a result of the illness.
The writer clarified that her son is currently residing with her mother while she pursues the required assistance. "Those who have been following me know that I have lived with bipolar disorder for 19 years, and I want to go to the hospital because I am in my depressive state right now," she wept.
"I can't afford my medication, and I can't live without it." She clarified that in addition to giving up custody of her son, she was in danger of losing her home.
She said that her lack of sleep as a result of her depression was negatively affecting her mental health. "I must go to bed. I haven't slept in days," the woman said.
The esteemed and celebrated journalist proceeded to express her urgent need for employment. Eunice earnestly appealed to compassionate Kenyans to help her secure a job and gather funds for her medication.
