Five people have been killed and eight others injured after being involved in an accident along the Eldoret-Nakuru Highway on Saturday morning.
According to official reports, a 14-seater matatu traveling from Eldoret to Nakuru crashed head-on with a truck at Migaa in Nakuru County at 3:30 a.m.
Nakuru County Police Commander Samuel Ndanyi confirmed the event, saying the fatalities were four males and a woman.

The survivors of the horrific road accident are being treated at Nakuru Teaching and Referral Hospital, while the matatu's wreckage has been transported to Salgaa Police Station.
The remains of the deceased have been taken to a nearby mortuary pending identification.
