Johnny Wactor, an American actor best known for his role on the long-running soap opera General Hospital, has tragically passed away at the age of 37. He succumbed to a gunshot wound sustained during an alleged robbery in Los Angeles.
His mother, Scarlett, initially confirmed his passing to TMZ. The Los Angeles Police Department later reported that Wactor was shot around 3 a.m. on Saturday morning after confronting three men whom he believed were attempting to steal a car's catalytic converter.
Wactor was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead after police were summoned. According to authorities, the suspects fled the scene and have not been apprehended.
The inquiry is still ongoing. Variety was also informed by Wactor's agent David Shaul that he had passed away. "A remarkable human being, Johnny Wactor was," Shaul said in a statement.
Not only was he a gifted actor who loved what he did, but he also set a true example of morality for everyone he came in contact with. standing for perseverance, hard work, and a never-give-up mentality.

He said it was an honor to work with Wactor, saying, "He would literally give you the shirt off his back." He will always have a void in our hearts after more than ten years of dating.
