Metropolitan National Sacco Society Limited has sought Silverline Auctioneers to recover Kes 88,211.8 unpaid loans.
According to a notice dated May 25, 2024, Silverline Auctioneers has ordered Margaret Wanjiru Gichuki to repay the Kes 35,000 loan immediately.
The notice highlights the outstanding loan advanced to Gichuki by Metropolitan National Sacco on December 24, 2019.
Silverline Auctioneers Executive Director Isaac Musila Mutiso, in the letter, has given Gichuki a seven-day deadline from the date of the letter to settle the outstanding amount.
Further, he warned of legal action, including the potential attachment and sale of her property, garnishment of her salary, or committal to civil jail for a period of not less than six months if she failed to honor the letter.

“TAKE NOTICE that unless you pay to our client’s office the said amount of Kshs. 35,000.00 WITHIN THE NEXT SEVEN (7) DAYS from the date hereof we have mandatory instruction to commence the appropriate legal action against you at your own risk as to costs and without further reference to you.”
Another anonymous borrower has also been directed to settle a loan amounting to Kes 13,000 that was issued on July 31, 2018.
“We have been instructed by our client M/S Metropolitan National Sacco Society Limited to demand from you WHICH WE HEREBY DO the immediate payment of Kshs. 40,211.80. The same being the amount owing from you to our client in respect of loan advanced to you by our client on 21 June 2019. Full particulars are well within your knowledge.”
