Veteran reggae DJ Kriss Darlin has been criticized by Kenyans for making insensitive comments as Kenyans Mourn media icon Jahmby Koikai.

After the news of Jahmby Koikai's death, Kriss posted on his Instagram, telling people off for posting Jahmby's pictures after her death while they ignored her plea for help.

He wrote, "It's now time to post pictures with the departed, but when she asked and needed blood donations and help, nobody posted pictures."

His remarks quickly enraged many Kenyans online. Many others accused him of speaking out of turn and irresponsibly distorting information.

 Others called him out and ordered him to stay away from the subject.

Celebrities like Njugush, DJ Shiti, and others jumped in, accusing the DJ of exploiting Koikai's death.

DJ Shiti wrote: "Swali ni yeye alipost? Let's not use our sister's demise to seek attention. People contributed in different ways Bro. Hata wewe ulipigia Raila magoti na hatukuongea..."

Njugush wrote: "No, he should be the last to speak. The things he put her through bana. SMH."

On his part, renowned reggae personality DJ Moh Spice wrote, "Such an irresponsible post! People help others in different ways. Just because it's not posted online doesn't mean it's not happening! Tenda wema nenda zako! SMH!"

Media personality and Reggae MC Mary Njambi Koikai died after battling endometriosis for several years.

According to sources, the former TV host has been battling the disease since the age of 13 and has been in and out of the hospital for several years. In her last post on social media, she had pleaded with kenyans to donate blood to help her recover.
