Kileleshwa ward member of the County Assembly, Honorable Robert Alai, has stepped forward to address the mother of Ian Njoroge, the young man who was arrested for attacking a traffic police officer. Speaking to journalists at the Milimani Law Courts on Tuesday after her son was arraigned in court, Ian Njoroge's mother asserted that her son was innocent and should not be subjected to attacks by Kenyans.
She expressed that she had raised him well and viewed the incident as a mistake, stating she was unaware of what had led him to behave in such a manner. She generally praised her son as someone incapable of harming anyone. However, Robert Alai dismissed her remarks, labeling her as ignorant and attributing her son's behavior to her influence.
He urged her to cease attacking Kenyans for expressing their opinions and advised her to refrain from such actions until she had calmed down. Additionally, he cautioned her that her criticisms of Kenyans would only attract more adversaries, particularly online, as she lacks control over people's reactions.
"Hear the ignorance of the mother. Stop attacking Kenyans for speaking out.Kindly come down your high Sunshine Horse. That won’t help you. Come down then we can listen to you.The attack route will earn you more enemies. You can’t control people like your son tried to control a police officer." Alai said.
Ian Njoroge faced three charges, and the case is scheduled to begin shortly.
