Divers in Bomet are still looking for the body of a 13-year-old boy who drowned in the Chepkulo River while swimming with his friends.
Chepalungu sub-county police chief Phanton Analo verified the incident, stating that Bethwel Kiprono, the deceased, was a Grade Seven student at Kamundugi Primary School.
"The other boys tried to save him, but he drowned before they could help him," Analo added.
Residents and local divers have been scouring the river for the body of the young boy since Sunday but have not been successful.
