Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko is happy after the courts allowed the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to drop terrorism charges against him and two others.
In 2021, Sonko, Clifford Ochieng Ouko, and Benjamin Onyango Odhiambo were prosecuted in the Kahawa Law Courts and accused of terrorism.
He was charged with willfully recruiting unknown individuals to "commit or participate in the commission of a terrorist act" in violation of the Prevention of Terrorism Act of 2012.
