Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu expressed her disappointment with Kenya Airways (KQ) following her recent trip to Mombasa in relation to a discontinued in-flight meal services.
On social media, the mother of three shared a photo of herself seated next to former Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho on a commercial flight. Both smiled softly as they looked at the camera.
Captioning the photo, the controversial politician and businesswoman criticized Kenya Airways for allegedly discontinuing their in-flight meal services without adequately informing passengers of the new policy.
So on KQ 606 to Mombasa this afternoon we were told service airborne is no more due to safety concerns.

Nauliza Jana Riggy G pia alienda hivi hivi tu? After all those years now is when someone remembered that serving snacks iko na safety issue! 🤷‍♂️ pic.twitter.com/GzM3cPSzaa
Ms. Nyamu expressed her disappointment, calling the decision illogical. In her rant, she questioned whether Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua had experienced the same issue when he flew from Nairobi to Mombasa the previous day.
"So on flight KQ to Mombasa this afternoon we were told service airborne is no more due to safety concerns," started off Karen Nyamu. She went on to quip, "Nauliza jana Riggy G pia alienda hivi hivi tu?"
Which translates to, "I'd like to ask, yesterday did Riggy G also fly just like this?"
Concluding her frustrated remarks, the nominated senator questioned why, after all this time in operation (realistically excluding the COVID-19 period), Kenya Airways had now decided that in-flight meals were an issue.
"After all those years now is when someone remembered that serving snacks iko na safety issue?" The last of her post read.
However, in response to her post, Kenyans showed little sympathy for Karenzo and her hunger pangs. Some accused her of being privileged, while others suggested she simply wanted to show off her time spent with 001.
