Popular Kenyan content creator and multiple chess champion, Elsa Majimbo, has publicly declared her stance on the 2024 Finance Bill. The young celebrity, now based in the USA, has joined millions of Kenyans in rejecting the controversial bill. Elsa Majimbo expressed her position in a morning post on her 'X' account, stating her pride in Gen Z for leading the ongoing protests against the bill.

"I think the focus is on the wrong thing. Let all the energy go to #REJECTFINANCEBILL2024 And I'm proud of the people who are re-writing history. Let all Kenyans focus on what's important" she wrote.

Elsa Majimbo has decided to support the movement after facing criticism from Kenyans for not doing so.

She clarified this in the comment section of the post, responding to a fan who had made a joke about her stance.

"I didn't want to be bullied and it happened regardless. So I might as well take that attention to somewhere that's bigger than me" the content creator said.

Before Elsa Majimbo took a stand on the 2024 Finance Bill, she had initially chosen to refrain from commenting on it. This decision was influenced by the ongoing criticism and trolling she allegedly faces from Kenyans regarding her personal life.

Therefore, Elsa Majimbo stated that she would focus on living her life and ignore everything happening regarding the protests in Kenya.

"Last time I spoke about Kenyan issues I was told to shut up and go play dress up. That's exactly what I'm going to do this round 🤐 whatever I do yall will bully me so I'm just going to continue with life. I choose ✨️mental health ✨️" she wrote on X.
