Three children are receiving treatment at a hospital in Kyuso, Kitui County, after being knocked down by a police car on Sunday in the Kamuwongo area.
The police were driving from Kakunike to Kyuso when they hit the children aged between seven and eight years old.
Area assistant chief David Mwendwa confirmed the accident, saying the children were going home after attending a church service.
Police drove the children to the hospital in their car.
