Pastor and motivation speaker Robert Burale led Gen Zs from the church in peaceful demonstrations in the Nairobi CBD, showing that the church was not silent about the Finance Bill 2024. Although people from all walks of life had registered their displeasure with the bill, the church's stance seemed unclear. However, Burale and his followers revealed that they had been fasting about the issue for 59 days. They emphasized that there is no Jesus without justice and firmly rejected the bill.

Pastor Robert Burale and young members of the church have made a statement regarding the Finance Bill 2024 and the tragic loss of two young lives after police shot at demonstrators.

Burale and his group met in town, where he mentioned that the authorities had instructed them to walk on the pavements and avoid using the main roads.

After receiving these guidelines, they prayed, sang a song, and began marching in the Central Business District (CBD) to articulate their concerns.

"We pray that they will be able to articulate their issues that will glorify you, edify men and terrify hell. Even the security forces we pray for them; we know they have a job to do and they are people's fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters. We pray that that they will do their work without being too hard," he prayed.

Robert Burale Prays for MPs

"We pray wisdom prevails for the Members of Parliament (MPs), and that their mouths will say the right thing; we came against the spirit of pride and arrogance," he added.

As the young people prayed for the country and demonstrated along the road, they made sure to let the world know that Jesus cares.

"Kenya for Jesus, the church is not silent," they chanted.

"Jesus is justice, no justice no Jesus," they also chanted.

A woman who prayed said that the church is on its 59th day of fasting out of 100.

Man Calls Out The Church

A young man named Michael called out the AIC church for its silence on the Finance Bill 2024.

Michael questioned why the church had not made its position known, while the NCCK and the Muslim community had already spoken on the matter.

Gen Zs Versus Church

Gen Zs who had planned to stage demonstrations at Nyahururu ACK church continued their protests outside the premises.

Pastor Ng'ang'a announced he would take to the streets to protest against the Finance Bill 2024, daring the police to hit him with tear gas.
