Angry residents protesting against the proposed Finance Bill 2024 opted to destroy properties belonging to politicians supporting the bill.

Members of Parliament and county assemblies (MCAs) were among the targets.

The demonstrators targeted Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi; they stormed, entered, and robbed Timba XO, a posh nightclub connected to the MP, stealing alcohol and valuables of unknown value.

Photos and videos published online showed scores of individuals, thought to be anti-Finance Bill demonstrators, lugging bottles of costly alcohol out of the building.

In Nyeri, demonstrators robbed and burned the Chieni store. According to sources, the firm is owned by Kieni MP Njoroge Wainaina.

Meanwhile, demonstrators caused chaos at Molo MP Kuria Kimani's residence, allegedly vandalizing it before setting it on fire.
