Senior council Ahmednasir Abdullahi is pleading with President William Ruto not to sign the Finance Bill, which is now on his desk, into law. He urges the President to listen to the citizens and return the Bill to Parliament.

Yesterday marked the second time Parliament voted on the Finance Bill. Unfortunately, the MPs once again did not side with the Kenyan people, with 195 MPs voting YES and 106 voting NO.

Despite the demonstrations on the streets of Nairobi and the outcry from Gen Z, the legislators still prioritized their own interests.

On his official X handle, Ahmednasir Abdullahi revealed how the Finance Bill will oppress Mwananchi. He has made a heartfelt plea to President Ruto to return the Finance Bill to Parliament for review.

"Kindly listen to Kenyans, and engage them. It is true Finance Bill will oppress the Hustler. You dropping this bill won't make you weak. But it will prove your leadership skills to the Public. Please return it back to the Parliament for review."

During his address to the nation on Tuesday night, the President issued a warning to the financiers behind the ongoing Gen Z anti-Finance Bill demonstrations. Additionally, he declared his intention to deploy the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) to support the police officers.
