Outspoken South African politician Julius Malema praised Kenyan youth for their stance against the anti-Finance Bill 2024. He emphasized the importance of exercising constitutional rights to express dissent and encouraged Kenyan youth to continue their efforts.
After Parliament approved the controversial bill, Gen Zs and millennials organized historic protests in Kenya. The EFF leader commended the young people for asserting their constitutional rights and standing against the bill.
Taking to X on the evening of Thursday, June 27, Malema said he was proud of the Kenyan youth.

Mexican-Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong'o also praised Kenyan youth for exercising their constitutional right to protest against the Finance Bill 2024.
Lupita took to social media to comment on the historic protests on Tuesday, June 25.
Angry protesters overpowered anti-riot police officers and entered Parliament, prompting the officers to use live bullets, resulting in numerous fatalities.
In her statement, Lupita expressed condolences to the families of the protesters who were killed and commended the Gen Z demonstrators.
She also urged the government to listen to the people's grievances.
Meanwhile, a section of Kenyans expressed frustration after President William Ruto thanked the police for their response to the protests.
