Online users are unhappy with President Ruto and Raila Odinga's agreement to form a dialogue committee to discuss issues affecting Kenya's young generation.
During the meeting, the two leaders decided to convene a six-day multi-sectoral conference to stimulate national conversation and identify long-term solutions to Kenya's urgent concerns. The conference would begin on Monday, July 15, and finish on Saturday.
"I am happy to confirm that we have had consultations and we have agreed that dialogue is the way forward out of the crisis that we’re having today in our country," said Mr Odinga.

Minutes after the public announcement, Kenyans online slammed Mr. Odinga, questioning his role in the protests.
"Raila is the real conman, I swear. His greed is why he will never be president of Kenya 🇰🇪" one user posted
"Honestly am glad this guy has never worn the big seat huyu mzee is a fraud. Tapeli. He would gladly trade the life of kenyans for his own selfish ambitions," another one added.
"Thank you so much Baba but you're losing it, requested you to take a back SEAT and watch as youths strategize to fix all these messes.Don't dine with the government even if it's supporting your AUC seat. Dialogues have failed us, resulted in many reports that went unattended."
