A mother and her daughter have died after being hit by a lorry in the Itoloni area along the Kangundo-Mwala Road on Thursday night.
Both the boda boda and the vehicle were heading towards Mwala.
The boda boda rider fled unharmed. The mother and her kid were going to Kangundo High School, where her husband was a teacher. The spouse was accompanying them in a separate boda boda.
Alexander Kilonzo, a bodaboda rider, expressed outrage at the incident, claiming that many road users do not respect them.

He went on to say that leaders failed because they left the roads in terrible condition and failed.
Dennis Zakayo, a biker, stated that similar incidents have occurred because the roads are in poor condition, and leaders have ignored their concerns.
He further stated that yesterday night's disaster was horrifying since he witnessed his wife and children getting struck.
He asked motorists to follow traffic laws and urged the government to prevent trucks from traveling at night.
Lukhungu Matolo, a local, expressed sadness at losing a colleague and daughter and urged politicians to ensure that the road is fixed.
Carlmax Ombasa, a Kangundo High School teacher, expressed sadness at his colleague's wife and daughter's deaths.
Police from Kangundo transported the dead to Patjud Funeral Home after the lorry driver escaped before an angry mob attempted to burn the vehicle.
