Further, he said that the broad-based government will help accelerate and expedite the nation's much-needed urgent interventions.

“Upon reflection, listening keenly to what the people of Kenya have said, I will immediately engage in extensive consultations across different sectors and political formations, to set up a broad-based government,” he said.

Ruto stated that the new formation will assist his government in implementing radical programs focusing on raising domestic resources, expanding job opportunities, and managing the Nation’s huge debt.

According to the Head of State, this will eliminate wastage and unnecessary duplication of government agencies.

This comes shortly after he announced that his administration rolled out a series of austerity measures aimed at curbing government expenditure including plan to dissolve 47 State Corporations with overlapping and duplicative functions.
