To the sister who lives in Nairobi, the victim appeared in a dream, showing her exactly where her body had been dumped.
Following this revelation, the sisters initiated a search for their lost sibling, leading to the discovery of other young bodies that had been killed and dumped in the quarry.
Angry residents accused the police of negligence, as well as of perpetrating and aiding in the killings and disposal of the bodies. In their fury, they torched the nearby police post and chased away the officers.
So far, nine bodies of young women, aged between 18 and 28 years, have been confirmed. The victims were mutilated by sharp objects, and some were missing their heads. Five sacks containing the remains were retrieved yesterday and taken to the city mortuary for analysis.
The DCI has begun investigations into the matter, and families of missing persons are requested to come forward to provide DNA samples to help identify their loved ones.
