The family of alleged serial killer Collins Jumaisi Khalusha claims he was a quiet person and that they haven't seen him in over two years.
His mother, who now lives in Nyatike, Migori County, said they thought he had died while brother mentioned that they lost contact and he has not been home since 2022.
The fact-checking procedure to determine his identification began with an ID number obtained from one of his registered mobile phones.
Khalusha was born on March 2, 1991, in Vihiga County, Hamisi sub-county, Shaviringa locale, Shiru Ward.
Khalusha's sister stated she couldn't believe her brother was responsible for the awful deaths at Pipeline Quarry in Nairobi.
“Sidhani kama aliua watu hao wote pekee yake, siamini, alikuwa mpole sana,” she stated.
She stated that their father died in 1995, and their mother and the other three siblings moved to Nyatike in Migori County.
“Collins ni mtoto wangu na alizaliwa shiru, amesoma Kakubudu primary…baba yake alikuwa anaitwa Elijah Jumaisi, alinioa mwaka wa 1979, akafa mwaka wa 1995,” she revealed.
The family wants a thorough investigation into the deaths, which have identified their son as a main suspect.
Police are currently compiling data while conducting a forensic assessment of all items in their custody. The defendant will be detained for 30 days while the investigation proceeds.
