Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino, known for his fearless stance, vows to defy the position of party leader Raila Odinga, potentially widening cracks and divisions within the ODM party in the coming days.

In a Facebook post, the outspoken lawmaker affirmed that he would stand with the people and would not support the defunct Kenya Kwanza administration.

He further stated that standing with the people remains his choice, regardless of the consequences that may come his way.

"My decision is to be with the People. I will not support this defunct Government no matter the consequences."

Babu makes this post at the time whe ODM party leader Raila Odinga has accepted to join the President William Ruto's administration to form a coalition government.

Odinga is said to have made this decision despite the reluctance of several ODM-allied members of parliament to join the Kenya Kwanza government, which they claim has already failed.

Babu Owino, a vocal critic of the Kenya Kwanza administration, could be pressured to support the administration as his party aligns with the government.
