President William Ruto unveiled his second set of Cabinet nominees on Wednesday, notably excluding several previously dismissed Cabinet Secretaries. Among those not reappointed were Moses Kuria, who served as CS for Public Service, and Peninah Malonza, who handled the East African Community docket.


Others left out included Aisha Jumwa (Gender and Culture), outgoing National Treasury CS Njuguna Ndung'u, Zacharia Njeru (Water and Irrigation), Mithika Linturi (Agriculture and Livestock), Ezekiel Machogu (Education), Ababu Namwamba (Sports), Simon Chelugui (Micro and Small Enterprises), Florance Bore (Labour and Social Protection), Eliud Owalo (ICT), and Susan Nakhumicha (Health).


The announcement was made at State House, Nairobi, where President Ruto introduced the new nominees, stating that they would join his government to advance the "transformative agenda" already underway. He also praised the leadership of various organizations, both within and outside Parliament, as well as political parties.
