Franklin Wallah, a former crime reporter for TV47 has joined Citizen TV a station owned by Royal Media.

On Thursday, July 25, Citizen TV Editorial Director Linus Kaikai announced that Wallah had joined the station as the crime editor.

"Our latest signing: meet Citizen TV Crime & Investigations Editor Franklin Wallah. We’ve got you covered!" Kaikai posted on X.

The renowned investigative journalist had joined TV47 weeks after leaving K24 where he had worked for three years.

Wallah joined TV47 in May, initially announcing the move on social media. He later confirmed his departure from the station, which is owned by Cape Media.


"Good morning Kenya. I know we are in a difficult moment as a country, but allow me to pass this message to you as part of my growing family. It is with a lot of consideration I bid my farewell to the Cape Media Ltd," Wallah stated on June 27.

The veteran journalist is now part of Citizen TV's new recruits, alongside Emmanuel Too, Francis Odee, and Willy Lusige. The trio joined the station on June 19.

"We are excited to introduce and welcome to our RMS fraternity seasoned reporters Emmanuel Too, Francis Odee, and Willy Lusige. Welcome to Citizen TV Kenya!" Kaikai remarked then.

Linus Kaikai, the Editorial Director of Citizen TV, made the announcement.
