A grade 7 pupil from Tente Primary School in Nyamira County is nursing injuries after his neighbor allegedly cut him with a panga for allegedly stealing honey.
According to the minor’s stepmother, Melen Kemunto, she said the boy returned home with deep cuts on his back and hand. He was rushed to Nyamira Referral Hospital for treatment.
The victim reports that Peterson Nyakundi beat and cut him before calling the hive owner, who is his brother, before allowing him to go home with those injuries.
The family has reported the matter to the police and is appealing for legal action against the perpetrator.
