On Tuesday, President William Ruto nominated Dorcas Oduor as the new Attorney General. Oduor is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya, holding a Master of Arts in International Conflict Management and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from the University of Nairobi, as well as a Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. Currently, she serves as the Secretary of Public Prosecutions in the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).


Oduor has also held several key positions in the past, including Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions and Head of the Economic, International, and Emerging Crimes Departments at the ODPP.
