Kenya's quest for more medals at the Paris Olympics continues on Tuesday night with two key finals. The first event is the men's 1500m final, scheduled for 9:50 pm, featuring Timothy Cheruiyot and Brian Komen. Kenya aims to clinch its first gold in this race since Asbel Kiprop's victory at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. However, they face tough competition from Great Britain's Josh Kerr and Norway's Jakob Ingebrigtsen.
The second event is the women's 3000m steeplechase final, set for 10:14 pm, where Kenya's hopes rest on Beatrice Chepkoech and Faith Cherotich. So far, Kenya has secured three medals at the Paris Olympics: a gold in the 5000m by Beatrice Chebet, a silver by Faith Kipyegon, and a bronze in the 800m by Mary Moraa.
Faith Kipyegon will also compete Tuesday morning in the women's 1500m heats, aiming for her third gold medal in the event. After initially being disqualified and waiting nearly two hours to confirm her silver, she is determined to perform well in the heats. Nelly Chepchirchir and Susan Lokayo will join her in the race. Additionally, Julius Yego will participate in the men's javelin qualification round in the morning.
