A Moscow court has confirmed the arrest in absentia of Yulia Navalnaya, the widow of late opposition figure Alexei Navalny, according to state news agency RIA. Navalnaya, who currently resides outside Russia, faces detention if she returns to the country, as she is accused of involvement in an "extremist" group.

The Moscow court upheld a previous decision to arrest Navalnaya for two months, a ruling initially made in July. This development underscores the Russian government's continued crackdown on individuals linked to opposition movements, frequently labeling them as extremists to justify legal actions.
