Police officers from the Silibwet police station are investigating an incident in which a male body was discovered dumped in Mau Forest by two young boys on an adventure.

Confirming the incident, Masese area chief Richard Cheruiyot said the body was hidden in some tall grass, and the two boys alerted the public who were herding livestock near the forest's edge.

He said the body had no physical injuries and was retrieved at the Longisa Hospital Mortuary.

"For the past two years, 25 bodies have been found inside this forest. Most of them are boda boda riders; ,some were identified by their relatives, while others were not. We don't know who the suspects are who are behind this," he said.
