Equity Bank has announced a Kes 2.8 billion scholarship to be paid for 113 students admitted to top global universities under the Equity Leadership Program (ELP).
The program has secured admissions to 71 international universities in 22 countries who will join higher learning institutions such as Havard University and Amherst College in the USA and the University of Debrecen in Hungary.
82 beneficiaries are from Kenya, Rwanda (21), Uganda (8), and the Democratic Republic of Congo (2).
Additionally, the Bank announced that undergraduate students will each get an airlift token of Kes 200,000 as part of the scholarship package to support their transition.
