Detectives are investigating two separate incidents in Nairobi and Kitui County.

In the first case, a pregnant woman tragically collapsed and died on a road in Korogocho slums, Nairobi, on Sunday night. According to witnesses, the woman had visited a local chemist earlier that evening, complaining of stomach cramps. The chemist's attendant gave her a painkiller and advised her to seek further medical attention from a clinic the next day.

However, after leaving the chemist, she walked only a short distance before collapsing. She died at the scene, and police who responded found her body lying lifeless on the road. The body has been taken to the mortuary for an autopsy as part of the ongoing investigation. Police note that similar incidents have occurred in informal settlements.

In a separate incident in Mtomo, Kitui County, a 51-year-old man named Robert Kimanzi was found dead in Muvinge village. His body was discovered on the Katse-Irira road in a pool of blood, with multiple head injuries and a bloodstained panga nearby.

Police suspect that Kimanzi, who had a history of epilepsy and was known to be troublesome, may have been assaulted by unknown individuals and left to die. His body has been moved to the Kyuso Subcounty Hospital mortuary, and police are actively searching for the suspect responsible for his death.
