An employee from the Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has died after falling off an electric pole while conducting repairs at Nyabondo Centre in Nyakach sub-county.

The deceased and his coworker were performing routine maintenance when he fell on his head.

Upper Nyakach Assistant County Commissioner Dawin Orina verified the occurrence, stating that the worker was transferred to Nyabondo Mission Hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.

He claims Jackson Okoth died as a consequence of the accident after falling on his head. Orina said police are already investigating the event to determine what happened before the deadly fall.

His body was transferred to the Nyabondo Hospital mortuary.
