The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) is offering a substantial cash reward for information leading to the arrest of suspected serial killer Collins Jumaisi Khalusha.
The DCI encourages anyone with credible details about Khalusha's whereabouts to report confidentially via police hotlines (911, 999, or 112) or by visiting the nearest police station.
Khalusha is among 13 suspects who escaped from the Gigiri police station in what appears to be an insider-aided breakout. Two officers on duty, the cell sentry and the duty officer are under investigation for their potential involvement in the escape.

A fraud suspect, also detained at the station, provided crucial details about the escape, contradicting earlier reports that the suspects had cut through the wire mesh at the jail's basking bay. The Gigiri police station has six cells, three on each side of a corridor.
Khalusha, the Kware murder suspect, was housed in a cell at the far end, where he had been chained to the ground since July 17th.
The witness stated that when he was detained around 9 PM that night, he saw all the suspects, including Khalusha, outside their cells in the corridor. Khalusha had already been unchained, and his cell door was open. The handcuffs used to restrain him were later found abandoned in his cell.
The witness also observed one of the Eritrean detainees bribing two police officers, one of whom appeared intoxicated. The officers then left the area, allowing the 13 suspects to escape through the station's report desk.
A woman serving breakfast to the detainees discovered the escape at 5:45 AM. A manhunt is currently underway for the fugitives.
