A police officer is among four suspects arrested in possession of 10 kilograms of ivory, a gun, and 30 rounds of ammunition.

Confirming the incident, Molo Sub-County Police Commander Timon Odingo said the ivory was suspected to be stolen from the Nakuru County Commissioner's office.

He said the police are conducting investigations to ascertain how and why the police officer left the Central Police Station with a gun.

"We arrived at Posta area where members of the public informed us that they had seen suspicious individuals , wananchi wakatuambia wameona watu suspicious wako na bag mbili na wako kwa pikipiki of registration number KMFE 674Z. The two men had a black bag," he said.

"Officers discovered that they had carried 5 ivories."
