Three teenage boys died after the motorcycle they were riding on got in a head-on collision with a lorry in the Masantare area along the Narok- Bomet Highway on Wednesday night.
Confirming the accident, Narok County Police Commander Riko Ngare said the 18-year-old motorcycle rider was riding from Bomet Town with two 17-year-old pillion passengers.
“At Masantare, the rider attempted to overtake a vehicle but unfortunately collided head-on with an oncoming Isuzu FRR lorry.”
He revealed that the two pillion passengers died on the spot while the rider was rushed to Ololulunga Sub County Hospital, where he succumbed to the injuries. The driver of the lorry escaped unhurt.
Further, he said that the bodies of the deceased were taken to Longisa Hospital Mortuary, where they are preserved pending autopsy.
