A DJ from Narok, Arnold Kamau, is recovering from severe injuries after allegedly being assaulted by a police officer in what is suspected to be a case of a love triangle.

The officer, identified as Walter, reportedly broke into Kamau's home on a Sunday and violently dragged him outside, accusing him of being involved with his partner.

Kamau sustained significant injuries, including a broken hand, a swollen face, and several lacerations. He recounted the traumatic event to Inooro TV, noting that Walter attempted to stab him during the attack. However, the intervention of neighbors, who raised the alarm, prevented further harm.

Following the assault outside his residence, the officer allegedly forced Kamau into the club where he works. Inside the sleeping quarters, the officer continued the attack, beating Kamau with a club until his hand broke. The incident reportedly stems from a relationship between the officer and a barmaid, which Kamau, a friendly DJ, was unknowingly entangled in.

Kamau expressed confusion about the officer's motives, stating that his friendly demeanor as a DJ might have been misinterpreted. Despite his injuries, Kamau is determined to seek justice, expressing concern over his ability to work and support himself during recovery.

Arnold's mother, Jericka Kamau, is demanding justice and immediate action against the officer, emphasizing that her son could have been fatally injured if not for the neighbors' intervention.

She criticized the officer's actions, stressing that there were more appropriate ways to address misunderstandings. Jericka expressed deep disappointment over the incident, underscoring that her son is hardworking and did not deserve such treatment.

Kamau's case highlights the need for accountability in cases of police misconduct and the importance of community intervention in preventing further violence.
