Businessman and Safina party leader Jimi Wanjigi has strongly criticized President William Ruto, alleging that he is responsible for a recent series of abductions and killings amid anti-government protests in Kenya.
Wanjigi accused Ruto's administration of using state machinery to instill fear among citizens through illegal abductions, enforced disappearances, and extrajudicial killings. He claimed that the president had transformed the police into a political militia, leading to the deaths of over 60 youths and the abduction of more than 100 individuals.
Wanjigi condemned Ruto as a "Constitution delinquent," arguing that the president violated the Kenyan Constitution and betrayed his oath of office.

He likened Ruto's alleged actions to those of infamous dictators such as Adolf Hitler and Idi Amin, accusing him of using violence and terror to suppress peaceful, unarmed protesters. Wanjigi also drew parallels to the 2007 Post-Election Violence, during which Ruto faced charges of crimes against humanity at the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Expressing deep concern for the families affected by these abductions and killings, Wanjigi emphasized that Kenya is on a dangerous path and urged citizens to demand truth, accountability, and justice. He pledged to pursue legal action both locally and internationally to hold the government accountable for its actions during the protests.
Wanjigi also called for the release of activist Bob Njagi and brothers Longton and Aslam Jamil, who were allegedly abducted by individuals believed to be police officers.
He urged the public to remain vigilant and resist what he described as Ruto's growing tyranny.
