Actress Winfred Bwire Ndubi, popularly known as Dida in the Citizen TV series 'Sultana," has died while receiving treatment in Turkey after two years of battling breast cancer.
In a statement, Ndubi's family says they will share more details soon.
" It is with heavy and humble acceptance that we announce Winfred Ndubi Bwire lost her battle to cancer on 5th September , 2024 while receiving treatment in Turkey."
" We thank you all for your overwhelming support, prayers and generous giving during her treatment ," the family said.
Her death comes barely a month after she appealed for financial assistance to continue with her cancer treatment.

Ndubi was seeking Kes 5 million to cover her treatment costs, including accommodation and meals during her stay.
