Kenya Power has restored electricity to various regions across the country following an earlier outage. In an update, the company confirmed that power had been reinstated in areas including North Rift, Western, Central Rift, Nairobi, and Mt. Kenya.

"This includes key towns such as Nyeri, Embu, Kirinyaga, Nanyuki, Nakuru, Naivasha, Thika, Eldoret, Kericho, Kakamega, Siaya, Busia, Vihiga, Kisumu, Bungoma, and Webuye," the company stated.

They extended their apologies for the inconvenience caused and requested customers' patience as efforts continue to restore normal service to the remaining affected areas.

The blackout, which occurred on Friday morning, impacted much of the country, sparing only the North Rift and Western regions. While Kenya Power has not yet disclosed the cause of the outage, they have assured the public that restoration efforts are underway.

"We are experiencing a power outage affecting several regions, except parts of North Rift and Western," the company noted in a statement.
