A Murang’a court has arraigned a 20-year-old woman for allegedly stealing goods worth Kes 100,000 from her employer between May 26 and July 26, 2024.
The alleged stolen items include clothes belonging to her employer and those belonging to the children she was employed to look after, as well as shoes, handbags, and assorted items.
Rose Gathoni, who has been working as a house help was accused of stealing assorted household items belonging to her employer, Wambui Mwangi in Murang’a town.
Gathoni appeared before Resident Magistrate Dorence Soy where she denied the charges.
She was released on a Kes 50,000 cash bail or Kes 100,000 with a surety of similar amount.
