In a rare interview with Fox News, former First Lady Melania Trump reflected on her husband's near-death experience from an attempted assassination.
She recalled the harrowing moment in July when Donald Trump, during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, narrowly avoided a fatal bullet. The would-be assassin, a 20-year-old gunman, was shot dead by a sniper after firing from a rooftop.
Trump sustained only a minor injury, with his ear grazed by the bullet. Melania described the incident as "a miracle" and praised the Secret Service despite concerns over the security breach.

She also briefly mentioned another alleged attempt on Trump’s life in September, which occurred at Trump International Golf Course in West Palm Beach, Florida, and echoed her belief that both incidents were miraculous.
The interview coincided with the promotion of her upcoming memoir, "Melania," which will be released on October 8, just weeks before the presidential election.
In the interview, she expressed her anger over the FBI raid on their Mar-a-Lago estate in 2022, criticizing it as an invasion of privacy related to classified documents.
Melania also voiced her frustrations with the media, stating that her husband's assassination attempt was underreported and overshadowed by his political opponents, branding him a threat to democracy.
Though Melania has largely stayed out of the political spotlight, she has been scrutinized for marketing expensive merchandise, including a $600 "Vote Freedom" necklace and autographed versions of her memoir.
The Trump family, including Donald Trump, has faced criticism for leveraging political fame to sell high-priced items, from luxury watches to NFTs.
