Three people died in a road accident after a motorcycle they were riding collided head-on with a truck in Kerio Bomde area Tot area, Kerio Valley Constituency, Elgeyo Marakwet County.
Confirming the Saturday accident, area police commander Zablon Okoyo said that the truck was ferrying water for officers residing in a nearby military camp when it collided with the motorcycle at the Kerio Valley KMTC school, killing the trio on the spot.
"I think it (truck) was from Soko Bora carrying water for domestic use for the officers. At a point near the KMTC area in Tot it got involved in a road accident that was fatal at the end," said Commander Okoyo.
Further, he called on motorists to remain vigilant while using the road to avoid similar incidents.
The bodies are being kept at the Tot Sub County Hospital.
