Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua took to his X page moments after being impeached by parliament, sharing a message of hope with his supporters.
The national assembly impeached Gachagua after 281 MPs voted to favor his removal while 44 MPs voted to save him.
The motion will now advance to the Senate, where the Speaker is expected to formally notify the chamber within two days, setting the stage for the next phase of the impeachment process.
