Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua's lead counsel, Paul Muite, has revealed that his client is experiencing chest pains. Speaking before the Senate just hours after Gachagua fell ill, Muite stated that the Deputy President is currently receiving treatment at Karen Hospital.
Muite explained that Gachagua, who was scheduled to appear before the Senate for questioning, would be unable to attend as his doctors had recommended complete rest.
"I managed to contact the medical team at Karen Hospital... there is a group of doctors attending to the Deputy President. Due to his condition, I was unable to speak with him directly, but his doctors have advised that he requires full rest for now," said Muite. He added, "The doctors informed me that he is suffering from severe chest pains, but I did not probe further into his condition."
